50 Cent Talks Floyd Mayweather's Money Problems & Performing at Tyrese Haliburton's We Mix Flix 5 Views • 9 days ago

50 Cent sits down with Sports Illustrated's Greg Cally to discuss his role as Balrog in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, his relationship with Floyd Mayweather, Jay-Z's Super Bowl ambitions and his friendships with some of the NBA's biggest stars.

50 opens up about returning to boxing training to prepare for Street Fighter, revealing that he lost 30 pounds to transform his physique for the role. He also reflects on his complicated relationship with Floyd Mayweather, explaining why he still considers the legendary boxer his brother despite their public feuds. 50 discusses recent news surrounding Mayweather's reported financial troubles, the business of boxing and why he believes a loss could actually be more valuable to Floyd than another victory.

The conversation then turns to Jay-Z and the Super Bowl halftime show, with 50 sharing his thoughts on Jay-Z's positioning in the music industry and why he believes the halftime stage remains such a powerful platform.

Plus, 50 Cent reveals the story behind his surprise performance at Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton's wedding, explaining why he performed for free after other artists reportedly requested massive appearance fees. He also talks about his relationships with NBA stars, including Anthony Edwards, his love for basketball and why he believes some players are playing for their paychecks instead of their passion.
