90s R&B Mix That Brings Back Memories | Tevin Campbell, Brandy, TLC, SWV, Monica & Mariah Ca

This mix is for everybody whose first dating app was a folded sheet of looseleaf with one very serious question on it: “Do you like me? Check yes or no.” What a time to be alive.

Press play and two-step down memory lane to crushes you swore were your soulmate, passing notes in class, hours-long phone calls about absolutely nothing and somehow everything, matching airbrushed denim outfits, mall hangouts, and basement house parties.

DJ Journey Update:
Still plugging away. Getting more comfortable with the controller. For this mix, I experimented more with stems, especially isolating vocals. I like the effect, but sometimes it feels like parts of the vocal get filtered out too much. Adding reverb helps fill it out, but not always enough.

More experienced DJs: is there a way to adjust stem strength in Serato, or is that more of a controller/software limitation? I’m using a Numark Mixtrack Pro FX and couldn’t find a setting that really controls it. Constructive advice is welcome.
